The song is an intense and bitter ballad written by Jen a few years ago. Workshopped and performed by the Shiners, it has only now been recorded and transformed at the hands of three-time Grammy winning, MOBO lifetime achievement award winning producer and arranger extraordinaire, Simon Law.

During a recent visit to Jen's mother’s home in Montreal, a small section of Jen's grandparent’s Persian rug struck her and inspired the art for the new song! Intended as a death-by-a-thousand-cuts love and neglect song, the "severed nerve revealed" in the lyrics and the Persian carpet's tale of hunt and hunted resonated strongly. Especially, given the heightened uncertainty and vulnerability of the current geopolitical climate.
